I have windows 7, I try to download zip files, I unzip them and the only files there is a system information file and 2 dll files. However I can't see the information file on word pad notepad or anything of that sort. I do not see any exe file. I need to find the exe file so i can install and use products. Whats going on? And how do I fix this?|||What are you downloading and why? dll's are executable. The info file tells your system where to install the dll and how to register it to the system.

If you actually need these for something and are an admin under Windows7 you should be able to right-click on the file and see if Install is an option. Otherwise the info file should be in text form. Open notepad and from the top menu File>OpenFile and point to the info file in the explorer window and click
Open.

She died in Tennessee in 1956. She was accidentally shot by her husband Frank Dickinson. I am unable to find any information regarding this and I am quite curious about this chapter of my family history.|||I would start with newspapers in the area at that time. Most have copies of old papers on microfiche, if they are not digitized, and one might have either a story about the shooting, or an obituary. There may be court records available if there was any type of inquest. County or State death records would also be good things to check out.|||www.genesreunited.com

There is a home that i know is foreclosed on. How do i go about getting information on it and putting an offer in w/o an agent? Is that possible?|||Probably not. Try taking the name of the person who was foreclosed on to the recorder of deeds office; if there has been a deed of foreclosure, there should be some index against his name; and it will show who is currently in title to the property.|||Banks are not in the business of selling houses so they hire agents to sell the foreclosed houses for them. They will not negotiate with you directly. All offers need to be submitted through an agent once the house is put on the market.|||The county clerk's office will be able to tell you who owns the home, and usually who provided the loan.

But alas, you won't be able to deal directly with the bank in most cases whether it's a foreclosure or a short-sale.|||Generally not. Lenders with foreclosed properties do not want to deal directly with interested buyers. Why not ? Because they simply do not have the expertise to know the various rules of real estate in all fifty states. That is why they handle professionals to dispose of such property.

Until the property is actively listed for sale, your communications will be ignored. The house may well be titled to the lender, but there may be title issues which need to be cleared prior to seeking a buyer.

My friend has some very strange batroom tiles: they appear to be marble effect but are in fact comprised of layers and layers of semi opaque black and white images so that if you look at them for long enough you reialise each one contains hundereds of hidden images. We are very curious as to the origin of said tiles and would appreciate any information.|||Try one of those places that take old building material and reuses it for new construction.
We also have several marble and tile shops in our city that deal in these product lines. Show it to them maybe in your town and they can direct you to a source. Are these from and old building. Maybe the Historical society in your city has records on the building.

I am looking for a site or multiple sites that provide information on what US companies, that have moved their operations overseas, pay the foreign workers. I would like something that provides the actual wages and any benifits (if provided) paid to the workers.

I am having a hard time finding a site that provides actual statistics, not someones opinion.|||ministry of foreign affairs|||Hire a local person with that knowledge.

I am wanting to open a Christian book store. In order to do this I will need a grant to help with the inventory. Does anyone have any information on obtaining a grant for this. It will be a purely Christian store and will be ran by only women.|||You'll have to talk to the churches in your neighborhood, or the state or regional offices of whatever church you belong to.

The word "grant" is typically used to refer to money from the government, but the US government does not give any money to any religious organization.|||Not from government. Unlike the myths that some perpetuate, federal government and even private foundations hardly give grant money for starting a for-profit business.

For private grants, you may want to check the Foundation Center's Foundation Grants for Individuals Online http://gtionline.fdncenter.org . It's a subscription based website ($9.95 per month) but their opening blurb only says that the database is ideal for "students, artists, academic researchers, libraries and financial aid offices." Entrepreneurs are apparently not one of them, so I take it they also don't have listings of private foundations who give grants to would-be entrepreneurs.

Your best bet actually will be from the states if they offer grant programs for women (or any other special interest groups -- minorities, women, disabled, veterans, etc). Or check with non profit organizations, particularly women organizations if they offer grants. Examples include

Iowa Women's Foundation http://www.iawf.org/
New Mexico Women's Foundation http://www.nmwf.org/guidelines.html

Even SBA does NOT give out grants. From the SBA website http://www.sba.gov/mostrequesteditems/CO鈥?/a>

"The U.S. Small Business Administration does not offer grants to start or expand small businesses, although it does offer a wide variety of loan programs. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing for more information) While SBA does offer some grant programs, these are generally designed to expand and enhance organizations that provide small business management, technical, or financial assistance. These grants generally support non-profit organizations, intermediary lending institutions, and state and local governments."

Nonetheless, you can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit venture.|||I Agreee!!!
