Who are gonna be the steals of this year's draft?

DeJuan Blair will be a steal. Jodie Meeks is probably considered a steal if he can last 5 seasons in the NBA. Sam Young, Chase Budinger, Patrick Mills, and Marcus Thornton are the most likely steals from the 2nd round this year. Taj Gibson and Demarre Carroll are also likely steals from the late 1st round.

Recent steals are mostly guys with proven college track record (upperclassmen) who are overlooked due to limited upside.

I know it is only preseason, but he had 19 rebounds last night, along with 16 points. Good Question!|||chase budinger. Did you see him against the spurs last night|||Keep your eyes on Stephen Curry|||Tyreke Evans, poor man's Dwade|||Dejuan Blair the "grizzly blair". 16 points and 19 rebounds in like 22 minutes. This guy takes up so much space, kinda like a smaller shaq. Every other team in the league was so devastated when the Spurs drafted this grizzly blair!|||Great question and i value your effort but i do have a different view on what a draft "steal" is. To me, a steal is someone that plays well above their draft position for an extended period of time. Most of the players you mentioned don't fall into that catagory.

Draft Expectations

1-5: Hall of Famer

6-11: Multiple yr. all-star and 1 or 2 yrs all NBA

12-22: Contributing starter

23-40: Contributing bench player

41-60: Roster Filler/D-League guys.

If Carroll wasn't drafted by those goofs at Mem. i would say he's would be my pick for steal of the draft. Number two option would be Blair but I just don't like undersized guys with physical issues, history states that you won't get the same player you drafted 4yrs in(Larry Johnson perfect Ex.). So im left with Stephen Curry. Thats right im saying this guy will be a HOFer!|||Dejaun Blair, I MEAN HE GOT LIKE 19 REBOUNDS IN 22 MINUTES, THAT's CRAZY!!!! He is a beast.

EDIT:Glad you put Dwyane Wade and Mario Chalmers on that list, which maybe took you a long time to find and type.|||I have to say blair the sprus took him the seem to always get a good player i still think abount in 1999 when the had the pick to the last pick and it was manu no one that he be this good Manu Ginobili is the biggest steal all time and ever becaues there has never ben a player drafted 57 and was a all star so sprurs keep up the good luck geting blair. You can look on wki and see that in 1999 there wer only 58 players picked in the draft now its 60 Manu Ginobili was almost the last pick thats why he the biggest steal ever only way he can be top is if somone was drafted 60 pick and was a all star. I like to find out the real reason why he fall to 57 if you known send me a email but DeJuan Blair a big steal so is patrick mills and young
