I have windows 7, I try to download zip files, I unzip them and the only files there is a system information file and 2 dll files. However I can't see the information file on word pad notepad or anything of that sort. I do not see any exe file. I need to find the exe file so i can install and use products. Whats going on? And how do I fix this?|||What are you downloading and why? dll's are executable. The info file tells your system where to install the dll and how to register it to the system.
If you actually need these for something and are an admin under Windows7 you should be able to right-click on the file and see if Install is an option. Otherwise the info file should be in text form. Open notepad and from the top menu File>OpenFile and point to the info file in the explorer window and click
Open.

My friend has some very strange batroom tiles: they appear to be marble effect but are in fact comprised of layers and layers of semi opaque black and white images so that if you look at them for long enough you reialise each one contains hundereds of hidden images. I have a 160 gigabyte external harddrive from Seagate and whenever I plug it into my laptop, it tells me it needs to be formatted. I've made the mistake of formatting it before and all of the information is deleted. It is shared between my parents and I and so none of us want to delete our stored info from it.
How can I fix this?|||Seagate is usually a great brand, but nothing's perfect. Sounds like the drive is connected via a USB connection. I'm also guessing that it's inside an external hard drive case. I mean, usually if you have an external HD, and you KNOW it's Seagate, then the HD is inside an interchangeable case such as a DYNEX or some other brand. Possibly the case is busted, and you can move the Seagate to a new external case. Or possibly the computer has problems with USB.
Try these:
1. if you can, remove the HD from the case and insert it into another external case and try it then with your laptop.
2. try the Seagate as is, with another computer besides the laptop. Make sure the computer is Windows 98 SE or later.
3. Try booting to Knoppix with either your own laptop, or another computer that has at least two available USB 2.0 slots. After Knoppix has booted completely, connect the Seagate. Did it work? If so, then connect a large USB flash drive. Did it work? If so, then copy the data from the Seagate to the flash drive. This may take a long time, be patient and don't start clicking everything fast or you'll crash it. Knoppix is a version of linux that boots directly from a CD without writing anything to the HD of the computer you're using. It's very good at recognizing USB, HD's, floppies, network connections, etc..
4. If you care a lot about the data and are willing to pay someone to get the data off of it, you can use Ontrack (link is below).
5. I've had success on occasion with components I've placed in a freezer for 30 minutes (exactly, don't leave it in there longer, or you could hurt it). Usually, all it takes is calling the appropriate company and re-registering the chip. There will likely be a fee of $5 - 20, depending on the company.|||I'm not certain, but the owner info may not be on the chip. It is most likely just an ID number that would be connected to a new owner through the registry or whoever keeps the database for the chip. Check with the vet who implanted it.|||The first step is to contact the registry with which the horse is registered. They will tell you what to do. Fact: Some registry's require mandatory micro-chipping, like Freisiens. Depends on the breed.|||Well, the association with which the horse is registered has nothing to do with any microchipping as this is right now a personal choice to do so. Before you purchase the horse ask the owners to contact the vet that microchipped the horse and have a release signed by the vet, stating the horse is changing owners hands and the microchip should either be reset to where there is no longer any information on it, or to where your info is placed on it. Make sure you have the horse's papers or transfer papers if you haven't yet switched the names over to varify that the horse is in fact yours. IF the horse is unregistered have a bill of sale handy.
If you can't use the previous owners vet for some reason, take the horse to yours. They will scan the chip, and pull up the horses' info. Then they will change the previous owners information to your updated one.
Be aware that if you don't have proof of purchase on the horse, a vet will show you the door.
My suggestion is try to get the info switched with the owners vet who placed the chip, as the owners would be able to go with you and varify in person so there is no problems or accusations of theft.

Not lying about specific things such as have you ever been arrested or drug screened but what if the information pertains to the D.O.B. of relatives as well as the place of birth is? Will they void the application? Can you explain to them why the information is incorrect?|||That depends on the specific department. If there are 2 openings and 100 applicants, why would they bother with an inaccurate application? It just makes them wonder WHY you put down inaccurate information and did not do your due diligence to verify the information BEFORE handing it in. It is extremely unprofessional and borderline negligent. Kiss that job goodbye.|||If they would find it out, you would surely suspect that you might be hiding something. But if you are able to justify that error that you have put the details in good faith, then they would probably consider that. The seller will only be interested in whether you have lender preapproval for a loan (or are paying cash).|||First time to hear that I think you need to talk an expert for that matter.|||I've not heard of that and you may want to talk to the agents who have a long track record of both selling foreclosed properties and representing buyers of them to see if they have. Ask the person who told you for an example.
But let me hazard a guess. People think foreclosed properties simply means getting a great deal on a house and not having to deal with persnickety owners when it acutally means buying something in a blind fashion that may even have other debts attached to it and need substantial repairs before it can even be lived in. This biography MAY be meant to show that you are a serious investor who has done this before and won't be surprised and pull out of a deal the first time you encounter one of the typical traps involved in a foreclosure. To the bank, it may be worth taking an offer thousands of dollars lower to make sure they have a GOOD buyer.
So again, I am not sure, but I would suggest it would be a list of real estate transactions and investments you have been involved in. The point of a pre-approval letter is to show you are someone who will not have trouble closing the deal and I assume this is what this biography would be for as well. This would all be public information anyway, just all put into one place. I would not put anything private or that sounds like an Oprah chat, just properties you've owned and sold and invested in and perhaps any details that would show yourself to be more savvy. Maybe skills like construction experience or finance to show you will have the resources to care for the property and not have it be foreclosed again. I've spent many hours over the past few weeks looking for a site that had detailed blueprints, or detailed technical drawings of automobiles, in addition to the written specifications. I took the hard drive out of my Toshiba before destroying it, and put it into a hard drive enclosure. When I hook the USBs to my current laptop, nothing happens. How can I make it so that I can delete information off of it, and add information to it?|||OK first off did u check to see if the two are compatible with each other? Was your Toshiba a laptop or desktop? Have you checked to make sure the usb cables are good? Before you destroyed your Toshiba did you make sure that your hard drive was still working properly? That info would really help me answer your question. Hook it back up to your laptop and go to "my computer" or "computer" (depending if your using xp, vista or windows 7) It should have your current laptop hard drive listed as "local disk C" if the external drive is connected properly it will show up (if you are using windows 7) under your original drive "hard drive name E" for example. I use one with my laptop and have never had problems with it. Try hooking the external hard drive up to another computer and see if you can view your information there. If it still wont work you will need to format the external hard drive. Unfortunately you will loose the information you have if you have to format it. If the drive spins up try plugging the USB device into a USB port, if that doesn't work, try other USB ports. Generally, as long as you haven't made any special modifications, an extra drive letter should show up under "My Computer." This will be your external hard drive.
One of the reasons that the hard drive may not show up is because of how it was partitioned, and the file structure. You're likely going to need to format your drive. If there is important information on the drive, you may want to take it to a data recovery specialist or pop the hard drive back into another computer and copy the information yourself, before formatting.

For fabric characteristics and what affects it, your best bet is to find a company that supplies what you are looking for and see if there is anyone you can email or call.
Another option is going into a store that sells swimsuit fabric, keep in mind that some retailers do tell you whatever you want to hear to make a sale, so you have to be choosy with the information they tell you.

My son and his friend travelled from Hull to Newcastle, changing at York. The vdu display at York said the train would leave from platform seven but it actually left from platform eleven and they had to get a later train at additional cost. How can the information board be wrong ?|||The displays are all fed off the same computer system that monitors trains across the network.
By default, the system will usually display the platform the train is scheduled to depart from, which is the same every day for each train. Sometimes, however, for various reasons such as a delayed train (or another preceeding train running late), the signalling staff will change the train to a different platform.
99.99999% of the time, the system will know about this, and will update the screen. Depending on the system installed at the station, the computer may annouce the change audibly too.
I'd suggest that perhaps the platform change was a last-minute thing, and happened after they last checked the screen.
The moral of the story - keep checking the screens. If it gets to a minute or so before your train is due to leave and it still hasn't arrived, don't just stand around wondering what's going on, go and check the screen!|||I believe the VDUs are computer controlled, with information programmed in, as each days services follow an indentical pattern. However, sometimes for operating reasons, the departure platform is changed - maybe the correct one is occupied by a late running service or failed train. No one then bother to override the departure display VDUs. 4) And of course, Interveiwing. A good way to get more info from your respondents is to ask open ended statements--- for example:

Doing this allows the person to tell a story rather than just answer yes or no.

The hard part is: How to know how much is your stock actually worth? That is where the references below come in handy.
2. Buy stocks ONLY with money that you HAVE. Leverage means using 1000USD to control anywhere from 1001 to 10000USD of stocks. For a novice investor, simply DON'T use leverage. If you have 1000USD to invest, buy at MAX 1000USD of stocks.
3.Short term trading is trading less than a few months. Ideally, if you followed steps 1 and 2, you will have a nice,good company earning money which you bought stock at a dirt cheap price. Hence as the company is making money, you as a shareholder are getting richer too. As long as that is happening there is no reason to sell your stock. More details in the references.

The term "Sexual assault against a child" can mean a lot more than what you think it would. For instance, there are two people in my area that are on the registry. The crime, "Statutory rape of child age 12-15". They were BOTH 15 when they had consentual sex. The mother of they boy filed charges on the girl and and the mother of the girl did the same. Thank you.|||Do NOT try this. Most burnt boards are caused by drive mechanism failures. Also a burnt board often passes full voltages to the disk mechanism and damages it. Unless you have the correct factory equipment to dismantle the drive totally, fit the whole set of disk platters into the new drive and correctly align the heads to them, you have no chance. And during this procedure if one of the heads actually touches the platter, you can again destroy the whole disk. This is why specialist companies with the equipment can charge $1000.00 US and up just to try a recovery.

How do I make sure all my personal information (including my phone number) is removed from the old phone before I sell it? I synced the phone to remove my songs, apps, contact information, etc. But even though the old phone isn't activated, it still shows my phone number. Is there a way to remove that?|||Restore it. In both the north and the south, a great many became nurses, about 3,000 professional nurses held paid positions, and many more joined as volunteers."The war is certainly ours as well as men's" said Kate Cummings of Mobile, Alabama, who became the matron of a large Confderate hospital. In the early years of the civil war conditions were quite chaotic and women often just made their own way to the front and helped out. Later things were better organised. Dorothea Dix, who was Superintendant of Nurses for the Union Army, set a minimum age of thirty for her nurses, and required that they be plain women, but had to relax her rules because there were so many nurses needed.
Women organised relief efforts, and in the north their efforts became a national organisation, the United States Sanitary commission, which eprformed a critical role in providing food and medical services of trhe soldiers. Although men occupied the top jobs in the comission, women had a great many managerial roles. "The necessary supplies were almost universally collected, assorted, and dispatched, and re-collected, re-assorted, and re-despathed, by women, representing with great impartiality every grade of society in the Republic" said Alfred Bloor of the Sanitary Commission. The women had taken over, he said, after the men were discouraged when it became clear that the war was not going to be short-lived after all.
In the south, many women were left to run farms and plantations while the men were away at war. The Confederate Amry began to draft soldiers in the spring of 1862, during planting time, and the sight of women behind plows became common. As the war dragged on, the twons became virtually all-female worlds, stripped of able-bodied men.
Southern women began to fill government jobs, particularly in the TReasury Department, where each Confederate banknote ahd to be signed individually. The job required good handwriting and good political connections. Most of the women came from elite families. Some of them regarded it a s agreat adventure. "I am rarely ill now even with the headache" reporteed twenty-year old Adelaide Stuart "being forced to take a job was the best thing that could have taken place for me"
Women from less influential backgrounds got jobs as well. Thousands took in piecework for the Confderate Clothing Bureau, sewing shirts for $1 apiece and coats for $4. Others packed cartridges at the arsenal for $1 a day. It was dangerous work - in 1863, fifty of the ordnance workers were killed in an explosion in Richmond.
An estimated 400 women disguised themselves as men and enlisted as soldiers. Some women on both sides were spies. The most famous southern spy was Belle Boyd, who took advantage of Union soliders gallantry towards a beautiful young girl to serve as a courier for the Confederate Intelligence service, and delivered information on troop size and placement she had picked up from her admirers. Harriet Tubman, the former slave and conductor of the Underground Railway, served as a spy and scout for the Union Army.

When applying for a new job, and the application asks for previous employers + phone numbers and can we contact? What kind of information can a previous employer give to a prospective employer? Legally? Can they say whether the employee was terminated or quit, reasons for leaving, or are they only allowed to verify dates of employment, by law?|||There really isn't any protection or requirements, that I know of, that legally stops a previous employer from telling the prospective employer whatever they want to ask. So, it isn't a matter of law what they can and can't tell about you, but rather company policies.
What is and isn't allowed is determined by the previous company and their own vested interest in not getting sued by an employee that they have fired. So, generally, the only information that you get is very vague. Most will at least say that the employee left voluntarily or not. The smaller the company, the more likely they will be to reveal more details since they probably don't have a legal department or even a formal company policy.
So, by law, they can reveal much more than what you mentioned, but because of the law, they usually limit it greatly.|||Here in TN they are only able to tell prospective employers the dates you worked there and if they would rehire you or not. That's it.

How far do you think a teacher should go to learn about students with special needs?|||If you are the teacher of a "special needs" student you must.... by law... you must read the child's folder.... You will be involved in IEP meetings. You will be a part of planning how to teach the child....who should help out w/ the teaching... strategies to use.... the increments toward an ultimate goal... You will be working with the guidance counsellor. You may possibly be working with the reading specialist, PT, OT, vision specialist, braille reader, nurse, and other specialists... sometimes in your classroom and sometimes not... The child may need to have an assistant at all times. Part of your job will be to guide the assistant in meeting the student's needs..... There is a time limit to each stage of all of the above.... The parents will also be in on most or all of the above. They have to agree to the services and sign the IEP. If you are not the main teacher of the student....but ...say.... an art, P.E., or music teacher you still need to read the child's folder (you'll have to sign that you have read it) and you will have to make adjustments to your teaching methods to meet the student's needs. You may or may not interact directly w/ the parents, specialists, at IEP meetings, etc.
If you do not teach the special needs child you have no rights to delve into the needs of that student.|||Go to their previous teacher if possible. The parents are definitely the first place to start. I know at our school the special needs teacher has even talked to the child's pediatrician and psychologist. You will learn what the child needs and what level they are on soon after being with them.|||A student should have some type of records when they come to a school or they can be requested from the last school they attended. Usually, there is some kind of IQ test given every three years and a psychological. As far as finding out info, I try to find out what the student would like to learn about and general information such as can they read and write, what does the parent want them to work on, do they need to learn life skills, academic skills or both.|||anything in there cume folder and if you have to ask what a cume folder is then you should not need to know the info you are wanting|||Ask to read the student's IEP and evaluation reports. That will give you some important information. Talk with the special education teacher and other service providers, if any are involved. Remember that you need written permission from the parent to discuss the student with anyone outside your own school district. Check with your school psychologist, who may have the information you are seeking.|||I would do a file review. You didn't mention the child's age but ask to see the student's cumulative file. There may be information about the student's special needs. If the student has an IEP or a 504 plan, you as the teacher should have a copy of it and will want to talk with the special ed teacher or 504 coordinator about the student's needs. If there is no IEP or 504 plan and you suspect a disability, refer the student to your school's SST (Student Study Team) and share your observations. The parent, teachers and an administrator should be part of this team. Good for you for attending to this student's needs!|||A masters degree in special education would be nice.|||The first thing you are suppose to do is read the childs IEP plan and follow it. It contains all the info the school needs to know about the child.

When contacting wholesalers to make purchases for a retail business, what information does the wholesaler have a right to request? There is no different info sent on an unsecured network from a secured one. I have never had my computer tell me info WILL be seen by others though...
The only difference is a secured connection requires a password and the data may be encrypted (this makes it almost impossible for outside hackers to connect to a network and steal information).
On an unsecured network there is no password so anyone can connect to it and see any shared files on the network (LAN only).
If this is a public wifi connection that you are trying to use, go ahead and use it. It is no less safe than your home connection. The only reason wifi networks are secured is to prevent outsiders from getting on and hogging bandwidth.

Look at DDR SuperNOVA 2. It has about 350 songs, not counting the actual video game on the screen. I'm surprised a PS2 (which is what the arcade game is running off of) can hold that amount of information. For PS2, as you are talking about (as well as Xbox, 360, and Wii), it can use dual-layer DVD9s, meaning 8.5 GB of space for a single disk. Considering I convered my entire 100+ CD collection to MP3s on the PC and it only took up 3GB (about 1 MB per minute overall at default compression settings), music, when properly compressed, does not take up much room. Most games use up the vast majority of disk space on graphics and FMVs. Both of these in DDR are low quality, so they don't take up all that much space anyway.

Is there any information out there regarding a severe allergy to cat scratches? I am not referring to "cat scratch fever" disease, but an allergy where the site of the scratch becomes swolen and red, and the person has hives and trouble breathing.
Thanks so much!|||Greetings Humble Earthling! It sounds like you have two or more things going on. First, cat scratch fever is caused by a parasite and comes on 1 to 2 weeks after the scratch. Allergic reactions are immediate.
Now, if the site of the scratch is swollen and red, that could be due to minor infection and just the process of healing. Cat scratches hurt! I know I have been scratched plenty! You can use peroxide to clean the scratch out and continue to wash with soap and water. A little neosporin will also speed the healing. As to the hives, that would be an allergic reaction to something that was on the cat's claw only if it happened right away. If it has been days, then you are probably reacting to something else. Same for the difficulty breathing. Anaphylatic shock would have occured within minutes of the scratch.....long before it had time to become swollen and red. You have to keep in mind that just because one event follows another (the hives after the cat scratch) it does not mean that the first event caused the second. Keep the scratch clean and give it a few weeks to heal. If the hives and difficulty breathing (do you mean you are short of breath..or are you congested) continue.....get yourself to an immunologist or allergist.|||For some reason, I'm not able to give Queen of the Dust Mites' answer a thumbs up, but I just wanted to let you know that it's a great answer. I'm a student, and I eat a lot of meals at my school's cafeteria. The problem is, they don't provide nutritional information, the the employees aren't exactly willing to help. Is there a site where I could find the nutritional information for certain food like salad or couscous?|||ask them. the government actually makes them have a list of nutritional facts of the food they're serving. if they dont give it to you, ask nicely if they could give you the ingredients so u could count them urself using a nutrition book.|||You don't. You or anyone else cannot know. You must make an educated guess on what is in the food. Try to break down what is in it...If you choose the simplest foods, that is easy...you can read from packages in store.
As far as making good choices, pick fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, or steamed veggies and decline casseroles, or mixed things...they will be full of salt and fat. There is little food value in pale greens, choose dark greens, baby spring greens for your salad, and with all fruits and veggies, the more color the more the food value.
In the US, though, the FDA figured out decades ago what was in the food grown then. You cannot be sure what is in food now because of flood control. (Why did the ancient Egyptians pray for the floods? soil replacement and enrichment) Farmers do not replenish their soil with all the nutrients that you are suppose to have...what the FDA said was in the food grown so long ago. There is no guarantee what is on the package is what is in the food...only what is suppose to be there.
We are a gullible nation, believe what we are told even that old information like that is still correct.
So it makes no difference what paper or books or FDA or science or a box or the internet says...it is not an assurance that there is much food value there. Take supplements for mineral replacement, eat fresh fruits and uncooked vegetables to get vitamins from them.

The burden to prove you are injured falls on you. The burden to prove that there were no previous similar injuries also falls on you. Under the law you control your medical records. In order for the adjuster to evaluate the injury claim the medical records are needed. No records means nothing to evaluate, which in turn leads to a very small offer at best.
The adjuster isn't going to have time to snoop. We are way too busy to snoop. If you are claiming a neck injury then we scan the records for neck injury info. Anything else, we don't care about and don't read.
During the course of my career I have found that the only people who refuse to provide all their medical records are the ones with something to hide. If you decide to sue all the info will come out in court.
I have actually had a case in MN where the lady claimed a back injury with no prior back injuries. She refused to give us the medical records. I offered $750. She sued, in the "discovery" process of the lawsuit, her lawyer called and wanted to settle. He found that she had a prior back surgery that she was trying to hide. Needless to say it was settled out of court for not much more than the $750.
A letter from the Dr. as you suggest will not fly. The adjuster is entitled to your medical records if you wish to make a claim. Sorry, but that is the price you pay for making an injury claim.

Any good information on the first nations people for vegan inspiration? Recipes, clothing ideas, etc.,
I am told I have distant native ancestry. Probably Iroquois on my mother's side. I want embrace elements of this that green and earth-friendly.|||Your veganism doesn't have to have anything to do with your heritage. On the other hand I incorporate native american, druid and other pagan practices into my spirituality and those led me to veganism and using environmentally friendly products. For example Earth Safe lotions, shampoos, etc.
I read a book called VeganFreak - Being Vegan in a Non-Vegan World, and that's a very supportive book for new vegans and I just recently started reading The Omnivore's Dilemma which is a book that explores different approaches to food and our relationship to it. It seems very good so far.

Then, you can talk to him directly and exchange your information.

As to giving your relative your address, call or write a letter and send it to them, or have your parents think of a better way to give it to your relative. Thank You.|||There are many different jobs you can have being a child psychologist....you may be working with families, or abused children, rebellious children, seriously disturbed children, doing assessment for the court system, working in the school system, doing research and evaluations. Talk to your local Mental Health
institutions, contact the schools,-- you want feedback from people in the field. Talk to an advisor at the University in the Psych Dept and they should be able to give you some leads.|||Make an appointment with a child psychologist and ask them.|||your local university, your school has one, shadow them, although hippa laws may prevent this.
it requires you to get really lucky, have rich parents, and swim your way to the top of people who are in school to get laid.
