When you connect to a network that is unsecured it asks you are you sure that you want to connect, and that some information will be seen by others; or something like that. What does it mean by that. Also what are the risks of connecting to an unsecured network in your own words!?
And what if i connect to it just for a while?|||This really depends if you are talking about an unsecured wifi connection (like public wifi) or an unsecured wireless LAN network.
There is no different info sent on an unsecured network from a secured one. I have never had my computer tell me info WILL be seen by others though...
The only difference is a secured connection requires a password and the data may be encrypted (this makes it almost impossible for outside hackers to connect to a network and steal information).
On an unsecured network there is no password so anyone can connect to it and see any shared files on the network (LAN only).
If this is a public wifi connection that you are trying to use, go ahead and use it. It is no less safe than your home connection. The only reason wifi networks are secured is to prevent outsiders from getting on and hogging bandwidth.
Most likely this is just a public wifi connection, it is no less safe than a home wifi connection. It's probably just slower!|||everything that isnt encrypted can be seen by wireless sniffers who monitor your data packets.

connect to vpn (virtual private network) if youre on a wireless hotstop.

(https) with the letter s means your connection is encrypted.

unsecure networks also mean that anyone can access it without a password.
