I've been thinking about becoming a child psychologist but I really want to know more about what the job actually requires. If anybody can give me any information or tell me where to get this information i would be really helpful. Thank You.|||There are many different jobs you can have being a child psychologist....you may be working with families, or abused children, rebellious children, seriously disturbed children, doing assessment for the court system, working in the school system, doing research and evaluations. Talk to your local Mental Health institutions, contact the schools,-- you want feedback from people in the field. Talk to an advisor at the University in the Psych Dept and they should be able to give you some leads.|||Make an appointment with a child psychologist and ask them.|||your local university, your school has one, shadow them, although hippa laws may prevent this. it requires you to get really lucky, have rich parents, and swim your way to the top of people who are in school to get laid. not that there is anything wrong with that :)|||you gotta hate kids to do the job, if u can put the right dents in it , it works fine if you beat the hell out of its mind then you have a law suit on your hands, if you care about your own sanity why don't u live by the California sea side before u engage in witch hunting it may save your life|||Whew!! You might as well work @ Micky D's cause you ain't gonna make anything as a psychologist. They are a dime a dozen. A degree in Psych is nothing, you have to at least have a pH D before you make anything.
