I have a project due tomorrow and does anyone know a site that i can get in depth information about rocks and minerals? FYI the mineral i need information on is sulfur.|||Properties: Light yellow when pure, sometimes amber when stained with hydrocarbons; some slaglike volcanic specimens are reddish from selenium contamination or grayish from arsenic contamination. Luster resinous; hardness 2; specific gravity 2.0-2.1; fracture conchoidal; cleavage basal, prismatic, and pyramidal. Brittle; translucent. It has pretty much everything you'd need to know about minerals, from a student's standpoint at least. You can search by name, color, hardness, streak etc. I keep it bookmarked and use it all the time.
