Not lying about specific things such as have you ever been arrested or drug screened but what if the information pertains to the D.O.B. of relatives as well as the place of birth is? Will they void the application? Can you explain to them why the information is incorrect?|||That depends on the specific department. If there are 2 openings and 100 applicants, why would they bother with an inaccurate application? It just makes them wonder WHY you put down inaccurate information and did not do your due diligence to verify the information BEFORE handing it in. It is extremely unprofessional and borderline negligent. Kiss that job goodbye.|||If they would find it out, you would surely suspect that you might be hiding something. But if you are able to justify that error that you have put the details in good faith, then they would probably consider that. Thus, this serves as a lesson to verify every information especially those that are to be included in a document.
