Information like a date the house was built or modifications made to a house. Also what piece of land a house is built on and history surrounding such things?|||Your property is either a Torrens property (listed with the Office of the Registrar of Titles) or an Abstract (managed by the Office of the County Recorder)
Go to your local county website and click on "property" or "real estate" or "county recorder." Then go to the Surveyor's Office.
There should be a links there to a variety of historical property maps and documents. You may want to start by looking for your 'parcel number' because many of the links will require this to find a property. Then look for either Torrens or abstract information.
Here is a list of some of the links on my county website under "Land Records Main Menu"
鈥?Reviewing Subdivision Plats,
鈥?Registered Land Surveys and Common Interest Community Plats
鈥?Land Parcel Mapping
鈥?Land Title Registration Reports
鈥?Land Records / Plat Maps
鈥?Property Information Search
If you have an abstract property you shuld have received an abstract document from your lender or title company sometime after you closed your loan. This document can be loaded with information.
If there is no county website or if the site has no property maps, go into the county government office and ask for the information.|||The county auditor. Many counties have an Auditor's website where you can do a property search and pull up all kinds of information about the property, including previous owners and improvements. If your county doesn't have a web site, you can still go down to the county Auditor's office and request the information.|||You'll have to go to the courthouse (I'm not sure which department). They'll tell you how old the house is, what year it was built, how many people lived there and moved out, and who died in there.

Or you can go to a banker, (the person who loans money out to other people to buy houses) and they can give you information too.|||Your county tax rolls should have most of that information. Most counties have this all on line so you can just look it up.

Upon asking a jewellery store who they purchase their gold from, they responded that they're not allowed to disclose that information. Is this true? Is there a law in Canada or the US that requires companies to divulge information like this?|||If there is, which i highly doubt, there shouldn't be.

I have an idea for a business centred around recreation and i want to appeal for investors, but my worry is how much information to give in order to get people interested. And how do you self-guard your idea so somebody doesn't turn around and steal it.|||1) You Patent the invention
2) WHEN (as opposed to IF) they steal it, you must sue

Read about Dyson and the 拢 millions and years of time he spent fighting the criminal rip-off merchants who stole his ideas (Amway was the worse ..)|||If your business idea can be easily stolen. Then it might not work for long in business. Because once you start your business, then several competitors might quickly copy your idea and lure your customers away.

One of the requirements for a good business idea is that it must be hard for potential competitors to copy.

I'm starting my first day of work at Safeway in Manitoba, and I need to know what banking information I need to bring with me. My boss started talking about it but wasn't very informative. I know she said that I need my banking number or something, but other than that I have no idea. She needs it because my wages will be direct deposit. Thanks.|||one check leaf will give the routing and checking account information. Open an account where Safeway banks with her help.

Have a farm house in lewis indiana that sits on 25+ acres and is preety much by itself. Looking for information or maybe a web site that shows the different snakes located in the area.|||I grew up in the Brazil / Centerpoint area...here is a site of all snakes found in Indiana. However I have never found Rattlesnakes in Clay county.|||Hi, Kam. I am in Owen County, IN.

Here is a great website listing the snakes of Indiana: http://herpcenter.ipfw.edu/index.htm?http://herpcenter.ipfw.edu/outreach/INSn鈥?/a>

I have seen black snakes, green tree snakes, and those tiny black ones with the yellow ring around their necks, garter snakes, redbellies, water snakes on my pond, and hognose snakes.

Hope that helps.

My college professors want me to read online textbooks (called e-textbooks). I am highly opposed. I remember hearing from an Encyclopedia Britannica sales-man that we retain way less information when reading online.
I want to present this information to my professor but cannot find the actual percentage.
Does anyone have better researching skills than I do?|||I don't know why college professors would dare question the wisdom of an encyclopedia salesman, exact percentage or no.

I do not like to divulge personal information. When I write a check to pay for a purchase do I legally have to give them 2 phone numbers and/or a driver's liscence number? Where can I find these legal rights online?|||In law no one, except your bank in which your money is deposited, is required to cash your check or even accept it in payment of a bill. They do so at their risk. They ask whatever they need to decrease their financial risk. The only things you divulge are things you need to in order to entice them to take your paper and give you cash or merchandise in exchange.
Don't tell them and see what they do.
If I were you, I'd get a debit card on my checking account from my bank (It's free.)
and use it just like a credit card except that it takes the money right out of my checking account.
No more check hassle except at places that don't take credit cards.
